A day in Japan

Don't you just love the shoes? You have to wear out door shoes when out doors and when you go inside you just wear the white boot socks. I say boot because they are actually a shoe made out of material. I have been told that this was a very rare opportunity to have and with that I am very thankful that I was able to spend a day playing dress up and having a great time (except for the raw fish).

Front and Back of kamono

I also had lunch with the women (only one spoke some english) and we managed to have a great time talking and laughing. I'm sure they are still laughing as they watched me attempt to eat with chop sticks, however they did say I did very well for only being here one month. I will have to admit I had no idea what some of that stuff was that I ate and I really didn't like it.

Kamono

I had the opportunity to spend a day with four Japanese women. One has kept the traditions of the kamono and how to dress in it. It is a complicated process to put one of these on but it was fun.
